Inland Empire, CA – February 8th, 2010 – 63rd assembly candidate, LT Commander Paul Chabot, who has served as a sworn law enforcement official for nearly 15-years, with specialized training in narcotics and street gangs,  is receiving strong support for being tough on street thugs.

“I have known Mr. Chabot for several years, and I know that gangs and their criminal activity has always been a top priority of his.  He has been involved in combating gang crime for many years.  I, personally, support his candidacy for this office,” said Wes McBride, President of the California Gang Investigators Association.

“Few have the knowledge and practical experience that Paul Chabot will bring to Sacramento. His 15 years of law enforcement experience and his service with Naval Intelligence, the State Parole Board, and the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy make him the best candidate to represent the citizens of the 63rd district. He is the kind of ethical honest man that could refresh our faith in government,”said Sergeant Richard Valdemar, LA Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau (retired). Valdemar is a world-known recognized expert on gangs, and is routinely seen on national television.

In addition to Paul’s local law enforcement experience of nearly 15-years, he is a member of the California Gang Investigators Association and West End Gang and Drug Task Force. Paul also served as a Commissioner on the State Parole Board protecting communities from the release of gang-members. Chabot’s dissertation focused on dismantling sophisticated terror organizations and while serving in Iraq he wrote a strategy on how to defeat al Qaeda.

Chabot has also earned the endorsements of the California Narcotic Officers Association, California Police Chiefs Association, Riverside Police Officers Association, among others.

LT Commander (s) Chabot is a leading candidate for the 63rd assembly district seat currently occupied by Assemblyman Bill Emmerson who will step down due to term limits. He lives in Rancho Cucamonga with his wife Brenda and their three children.
