Chabot Endorsed by Inland Empire Taxpayers Association – Signs “No Tax Pledge”
Inland Empire, CA – February 22nd, 2010 – 63rd assembly candidate, LT Commander (s) Paul Chabot, announces the early endorsement of Inland Empire Taxpayers Association and signs “No Tax Pledge.” Chris Mann, the Founder and President of the Inland Empire Taxpayers Association stated, “Paul is a proven tax fighter and is the only candidate with the courage to stand up to the liberals who want to raise our taxes and weaken Proposition 13. Paul’s innovative economic plan will help create jobs, reform California’s broken budget system, and protect working families from higher taxes.” The Inland Empire Taxpayers Association (IETA) is an organization founded with the primary goal of putting an end to attempts by various local government agencies to raise our taxes…including passing new bonds and raising fees. Since its creation in April, 2006, the IETA has been successful at defeating ballot measures totaling over $813 million. In all, through its efforts fighting taxes at the ballot box, the IETA has directly prevented the creation of over $1.6 billion of new public debt (initial bond amounts plus interest). “I am honored to receive the early endorsement of the Inland Empire Taxpayers Association. California’s ridiculous tax structure is responsible for killing businesses throughout our state and hurting working families. I will vote down any attempt to raise taxes and will fight to ensure my colleagues in the Assembly do the same. We must reduce taxes immediately if California is to have a viable future. LT Commander (s) Chabot is a leading candidate for the 63rd assembly district seat currently occupied by Assemblyman Bill Emmerson who will step down due to term limits.
