April 4, 2016 - Today, Counter-Terrorism Military Officer and Reserve Deputy Sheriff for San Bernardino County, Paul Chabot, announced the endorsement of Wesley McBride, President of the California Gang Investigators Association. This endorsement follows other pivotal public safety endorsements from the San Bernardino Police Officers' Association, California Narcotic Officers Association, and Crime Victims United.
"At a time when violent crime continues to rise unabated we need to elect proven crime-fighters to all levels of government - leaders like Paul," said Wes McBride, President, California Gang Investigators Association.
"For the past 20 years Paul has dedicated his time as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department to keeping our communities safer. While I rarely endorse political candidates, his work on the front lines with the anti-gang unit and anti-narcotics unit makes endorsing him a simple decision. Once in Congress I know that the men and women in law enforcement nationally will have a true champion of what's most important to us - someone who has our back."
"Wes' endorsement of my campaign is not only humbling, but telling," said Chabot. "Now more than ever the men and women in law enforcement who are charged with protecting our families feel as though they are out there alone. I promise to work with leaders and associations in the law enforcement community to fulfill government's #1 priority - keeping its citizens safe. I also promise those in law enforcement that I will stop at nothing to help make sure they get home safely at the end of their shifts."
